St Mark's slender detached tower holds a pleasing ring of six bells (6 cwt) cast for the new church by John Taylor's, Loughborough, in 1959. They hang in two tiers above the snug ringing room. You can find out more about the bells at http://kent.lovesguide.com/biggin_hill.htm
The band of ringers feel strongly their role in reminding all in Biggin Hill that St Mark's is alive and busy, ringing for services, weddings, occasionally funerals, and occasions of local or national importance. They are active members of the church, all ages from 11 to 80.
Ringing is challenging, fun, sociable and rewarding. New or returning ringers and visitors are always welcome. Practice night is Tuesday at 8.00. Service ringing is Sunday at 10 am.
For more information contact Tower Captain Nancy Gay through the parish office on 01959 572312 or email on admin@movingchurch.org
The church also has a very active Handbell Ringing team.
