Christmas Decorations, cards and warapping paper for Christmas 2012!!
If you are out shopping and visiting the sales and see any Christmas decorations, cards, wrapping paper etc at good cheap prices - perhaps you could purchase a few bits for a Christmas stall at the Christmas Fair later on this year. The stall last year was a great success and it would be great to repeat it this year. Please bring any donations into church or the Parish Office and Chris Walker will collect them. Thank you.
Church Flower Beds
The two flower beds at the front of the church have now been planted up with a variety of herbaceous plants and shrubs. This was undertaken after the soil had been thoroughly dug over and improved by the addition of much needed compost and manure.
Both beds have been identically planted to provide uniformity in terms of design, structure and colour and will provide interest throughout the different seasons. Additional plants will be added in 2012 to fill gaps, where appropriate and seasonal bedding plants will also be incorporated from time to time.
A total of 360 daffodil bulbs were also planted and I am grateful for the seven volunteers who assisted me with this task. Hopefully, they will see the rewards of their efforts next spring.
It is hoped that the beds will provide a focal point for those coming into church from the front and also for those passing by.

If you would like to sponsor the flowers on a particular Sunday - to remember a loved one on their anniversary or to celebrate an event in your life - please let Chris Walker know and she can arrange for this to go on the pew sheet if you would so like. Just fill in the date(s) you would like and write down what you would like to have written on the pew sheet and e-mail it back to Chris.
